About Scholarship

The Gray Dryden Scholarship is being awarded by the Milton & District club of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) to three (3) women continuing their post-secondary education (who have already completed one, full year) at an accredited university, college or trade school. Established in honour of two of our influential, esteemed, long-time members, Margaret Gray and the late Gwen Dryden.

Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, and outstanding leadership and citizenship qualities both in school and the community. Candidates must have direct ties to Milton, Ontario: live(d) in Milton or attend(ed) a school in Milton & District.

The Canadian Federation of University Women is an equality-seeking advocacy organization of women working to enhance women’s rights and the lives of girls and women in Canada and around the world. Club Purposes

The Club’s purposes are to:

  • Stimulate intellectual activity;
  • Encourage the interest of University women in public affairs and afford an opportunity for the expression of a united opinion;
  • Guard and improve the economic, legal, and professional status of women;
  • Promote the higher education of women;
  • Promote understanding and friendship among University women; and
  • Participate in the work of the CFUW and IFUW.
