About Scholarship

I created the Destined for Greatness scholarship for BIPOC women because I believe every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, is created with purpose and potential. As a woman of color myself, I know firsthand the unique challenges that BIPOC women face, and I wanted to create a scholarship that empowers them to rise above those obstacles and pursue their dreams. The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 2:10 that we are "God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." This verse reflects the truth that God has designed each of us with a specific purpose and destiny for greatness. I truly believe that BIPOC women, who often face systemic barriers, have been uniquely equipped by God to excel and make an impact in this world. Through this scholarship, I want to encourage these women to pursue excellence in all they do, knowing that their worth is immeasurable and that God’s plans for them are far beyond what they can imagine. This scholarship is my way of helping them take the next step toward fulfilling the greatness they were born for.

The Destined for Greatness scholarship is open to all women of color, regardless of their religious beliefs or background. I believe in empowering individuals based on their potential and passion, and welcome applicants from all faiths and walks of life.

All applicants for the Destined for Greatness scholarship must submit a short essay, with a word count between 500 and 750 words, detailing what the phrase "Destined for Greatness" means to them personally. This essay provides an opportunity for applicants to reflect on their unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations, and how these factors have shaped their understanding of greatness. We encourage applicants to explore what drives them, the obstacles they have overcome, and how they envision using their talents and education to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. Through this essay, I hope to hear from individuals who are motivated by a sense of purpose and who are determined to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives.
