About Scholarship
The LOUD Foundation invests in future leaders of the Canadian 2SLGBTQ+ community. We believe that by supporting the development of students that possess drive, vision, compassion and knowledge, we can improve society and increase awareness of our diverse community.
LOUD stands for Leadership, Opportunity, Unity & Diversity.
When the Foundation first started, we gave away two LOUD Scholarships of $2000 and one Little Sister's Bookstore Scholarship of $1000.
We have gradually been able to increase our impact with the help of donations, legacy gifts and sponsorship.
2020 is a special year. With so many cutbacks we decided that the need is even greater. Most of our partners were able to agree.
So for 2020, we increased the amount to $2500 each, and granted TWENTY students!
In 2021 we granted 21 deserving students, and are currently raising funds for 2022.
