About Scholarship

The Sean Jackson Scholarship celebrates students who are making a real difference in their communities through leadership, initiative, and innovation. Named in honour of Meridian’s former CEO, the scholarship reflects his deep commitment to community leadership and service, and supports students who are ready to turn their passion for positive change into action as they begin their post‑secondary journey.

Through Meridian For Good, Meridian is proud to support students who want to make a positive impact. By investing in young leaders across Ontario, we’re helping turn big ideas into real change, because when students succeed, everyone benefits.

Land Acknowledgement

Meridian is on a journey to embed reconciliation into every aspect of our work. From coast to coast to coast, we recognize that our offices and branches are situated on the diverse traditional lands and unceded territories of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities—lands that continue to be home to many diverse Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island.

Acknowledging the land on which we live and work is a meaningful act of respect, honouring the shared lands and waters between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

With respect to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action, we remain committed to listening to Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and Indigenous youth to build meaningful relationships grounded in respect, peace, and friendship.

As one team, we reaffirm our dedication to playing an active role in economic inclusion by promoting inclusive and equitable access to financial services, professional development, and well-being—helping build prosperity for future generations, guided by reflection, continuous learning, and purposeful action.
