This scholarship has been created to provide some financial assistance to a Metis or Indigenous individual pursuing education in Law or Social Work.
Requirement of membership with the Metis Nation of Alberta or Government of Canada Certificate of Indian Status.
Requirement for confirmation of enrollment in Law or Social Work program at University of Alberta or University of Calgary.
Requirement of a letter highlighting why you have chosen your educational path and financial need.

Baerach Anderson is an indigenous lawyer who wishes to honor his mother who is a retired social worker. Baerach is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006. Baerach is a partner at the law firm of Prowse Chowne LLP in Edmonton, Alberta.
