AGMA Foundation Vision

The AGMA Foundation develops qualified engineering and operator level power transmission employees, and keeps the industry current with emerging technology.

History of the AGMA Foundation

In 1994, AGMA members established the AGMA Foundation to allow corporations and individuals to make tax-deductible contributions that advance the gear industry through research and education projects. Over the past 25 years, the Foundation has raised more than 2.5 million dollars to fulfill its mission.

The 2017 AGMA Foundation Strategic Planning Process aligned the Foundation more closely with AGMA’s goals. Over the next 3 years the Foundation will pursue new initiatives, including the Get Into Gears Employee Recruitment Toolkit (launched in December 2018), and a grant to AGMA for the development of a Supply Chain Training Course and four new operator level training courses. In addition, the Foundation will continue its highly successful Scholarship Program
