About Scholarship
The BASILICATA CULTURAL SOCIETY OF CANADA, in conjunction with the Montessori School of Kleinburg and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, offers two scholarships of $2,000 each to Canadian students of Basilicata origin attending a post-secondary institution (College or University). These scholarships are intended to help the recipients offset the cost of studies, or to visit Basilicata - the region of their family origin. One scholarship will be awarded to a student residing in Ontario. The other scholarship recipient can be from anywhere else in Canada.

This association was founded in the fall of 2000 under the name of Basilicata Social Club. Shortly thereafter the Basilicata Social Club was changed to the present name of Basilicata Cultural Society of Canada. Our mission is to promote the culture, history, traditions and most of all the beauty of our Region. With a very strong and growing membership we see ourselves as an organization uniting all people within Ontario and Canada who are of Lucani descent.
