This scholarship is open to any Canadian student who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or as a person of colour, and who is entering or currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary Interior Design OR Interior Decorating program at a Canadian college or university.
About Scholarship
Amid the #BlackLivesMatter movement that gained significant global momentum in 2020, we stepped back as a company and took a deep look at what kind of learning — and unlearning — we needed to do to be an actively anti-racist organization and to support the movement in meaningful ways. One fact that became immediately clear from our ensuing listening, dialogues, and research was that BIPOC designers and decorators are noticeably underrepresented in our industry.
In pursuit of a more inclusive and diverse design field, this scholarship - now in its second year - serves to support and uplift BIPOC students of interior design, and interior decorating. The five selected recipients will each receive an award of $2,000.00 to put towards their studies.
