You must be a member of UCU for at least two years

You must be a citizen of Canada, or landed immigrant, and a resident of Ontario, though the student may attend an educational institution outside of Canada

Be enrolled in full time post‐secondary studies at an accredited university or college

No candidate can be awarded the same scholarship more than once

About Scholarship

The award will be made to a candidate of Ukrainian heritage, who: 

  • is enrolled full time in a post‐secondary institution in Ukrainian studies in areas such as: research, international studies, Ukrainian culture and history, theology, linguistics or literature
  • shows above average academic skills and
  • demonstrates leadership and community involvement.

The amount will be paid in one sum, upon meeting the "Criteria” outlined below provided that a minimum average of 80% was achieved in the prior year’s studies
