YZD Scholarship Program

• Program: Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Project Management, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Skill Trades, or Urban Planning
• Age: 17 - 30

With a long-term vision, Northcrest is invested in making a lasting impact. This scholarship will support and empower local students, helping pave the way for bright futures. 

Applications will be accepted and considered from high schools, post-secondary institutions and skilled trade colleges across Ontario, however special consideration will be given to students from the following local high schools:

Based in Toronto, Northcrest is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Sector Pension Investments Board (PSP), a federal Crown Corporation and one of Canada's largest pension investors. In 2018, PSP purchased YZD, the 370-acre former Downsview Airport lands from Bombardier Aerospace and established Northcrest Developments. 

Over the coming decades, Northcrest will work closely with the community, Indigenous Peoples, industry, and non-profit interests, to shape a vision for the future. Comprising seven neighbourhoods, YZD will be developed in phases over the coming decades. Creating thousands of homes, parks, cultural spaces and places of work. Connected by the reimagined Runway, an iconic new pedestrian space unlike anything else in Toronto.
